Borderless Change

A new era for mankind

3D printing, Internet of things, and cloud computing are radically transforming the way we produce goods and services, but a new revolution lurks in the interaction and reciprocal fertilization between computing, biotech, nanotech and other health sciences.

Decoding of the human genome – at an increasingly accessible cost – the development of the first artificial molecule and artificial prostheses and organs for humans controlled by the brain, among many other developments, promise a series of applications focused on preventing diseases, lengthen life expectancy and improve its quality.

Live more and better, edit the genome of our offspring, overcome physical limits, restore psychological damage and enhance our intellectual capacity are increasingly popular targets between investors and researchers.

There are those, like Yuval Harari, who glimpse that the human species is at the doors of a radical transformation that fuses computing and biology.

Are we at the dawn of a new era for mankind?

It is natural that, faced with this flow of changes, we find ourselves immersed in a period of intense anxiety. We need to find parameters to understand where the world is going and what will become of us, of the society we build, of human life as we know it today.

It is important to understand the direction of the changes and adopt a positive attitude towards them. We have to try to assimilate the transformations and turn challenges into opportunities. It would be inconceivable to act as if the future did not matter in a reality and context dominated by exponential changes.
